The original reason I started this blog was to help people understand better about bipolar and other mental disorders. I am going back to school to finish my psychology degree and hopefully be able to work in a psych ward.
The kinda ended up turning into me being able to lift things off my chest, but I would love to answer any questions you might have. I want people to know what my disorder is all about.
Have a great day!

Hi there...I told you I would write...you are a BRAVE girl!! Good writer and a brave girl...Heather you have a great gift there!! So, big hugs and big "hang in there" today from me. Give Ella a HUG also!
Hey you. So, when you are bipolar...do you struggle with depression more than others, or are you more likley to struggle with it? Just curious.
I don't know that I struggle as bad as some people with depression because it goes back and forth so much for me. Some people with bipolar will go through depressive episodes for anywhere from 6 months to a year and then go into a manic state. I think the hard part is trying to keep up with the back and forth. I will go back and forth in one day.
For me, it's mostly feeling worthless to feeling very anxious. during the anxious i don't sleep a whole lot and that will throw me into a depressive crash.
it's exhausting. :) it's just a day by day thing. impulse control is the main factor that is bipolar.
thanks for asking :)
Heather
What do you mean by impulse control? So the anxiety is the manic part for you? Do you have other manic symptoms? Bev
Are you on medication...and if so...does it help you to balance this stuff at all?
I was wondering - how often do the mood swings happen?
what if you think u may have the same mood disorder who should u see?
i spend more time depressed than manic...much more time...do the feelings of worthlessness and hate for life ever go away...
